Wanting the Flow

(at least one line of breath).
(but with no break). Now I can begin:

I dare not defy the slow flow (hhhhaaaaaa)…
nor the gentle rush of the stream.
It is almost too much for me.
My breathing is shy of the light tttttttt
It does not relax.
Is there an echo out here?
Perhaps I should leave before dark –
when I feel free.

The slow flow.
The rocking calm of rippling waves.
The shushing sound of water.
My fears slip away.

the memory  of     the

the current Too hostile to resist,
tempts me to follow the flow:
“Oh, go. Go!”

I am but a moment away from break-
even wanting
to-go faster-than the slow…  flow… of my madness.
ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss (goes on and on).

**** Kindly Note: This is my very first attempt at writing in response to a prompt. Sheila Moore, hosting at dVerse – Poets Pub, gave the wonderful prompt – water. Thank you for this opportunity. ***

I am Grayish

Just another empty day.
Stories vivid in my head
From past lives and future dreams.
All the colors flawlessly flow with the stream.

It is this day I’ve failed.
Today stays gray
a dash of white
and blots of black.

It is greyish at best.

In Between

There is someone inside me.

Hello?!Who are you?

There is someone inside me.

She takes over,

She changes me.

She never asks if she may.

She never says how long she’ll stay.

And when she’s around

I turn quiet, I frown.

There is someone inside me.

Hello?!Who’s there?

When she’s inside me

There’s nobody there.

I turn empty…

Who’s there?

Get out!

Let Me Be!

There is someone inside me.

She is confused.

There is someone inside me.

She may come only for a day,

But, she may stay, and stay, and

Poems are my genuine emotions. The molten lava within me that overflows with tectonic shift of time. I scribble and present it before you. Poems are the first tool that taught me to express and that too without any prejudice or bias. I have promised myself to continue with it throughout my life.
